Peritoneal Dialysis
Not all patients needing a dialysis can undergo Hemodialysis. In patients where Hemodialysis is not feasible but Dialysis is a must owing to the underlying conditions, peritoneal dialysis is an alternative where we use the natural property of peritonium which acts as a membrane for diffusion and convection. We provide all modalities of peritoneal dialysis which include IPD, CAPD and APD.
Transplantation
Transplantation is the only renal failure therapy that restores full kidney function without any need for Dialysis. It restores even the endocrine functions. We provide both Cadaver and Live transplanataion services. With all the super specialists available 24/7 we truly are multidisciplinary.
Renal Biopsy
Biopsy is a daycare procedure which is done under real time ultrasound guidance. Biopsies are done to establish a definite diagnosis in a suspected case of glomerulonephritis.
Type II Diabetes & Diabetic Nephropathy
Long standing Diabetes especially when uncontrolled can cause significant damage the basic filtering unit of the kidney called nephron. This results in loss of protein in urine and further progression of kidney damage. Not all diabetic medications can be taken.
Hypertension
Unexplained hypertension in young and uncontrolled hypertension in elderly can be related to underlying kidney disease. It can be both a cause and effect leading to further progression of both kidney disease and hypertension. Multiple medications may be needed to control hypertension in kidney failure induced hypertension.
Infectious Diseases
Infections are a major concern worldwide, they can affect muti-organs when undiagnosed. Sepsis and Septic shock are the major causes of morbidity and mortality. Acute kidney injury is the only treatable condition that indicates severity and needs adequate supervision through out the illness, patients may need CRRT, SELD or HD during the course of severe infections.
